The German composer and arranger first took the charts by storm back in 1965 with his first LP 'Non Stop Dancing'. This lively, optimistic and melodious music lined with a party atmosphere, was the first of it's kind. His secret recipe for dance music made Last a hit overnight and continues to appeal to a broad international audience nearly forty years later.

Over the course of his career, he has sold well over 100 million albums with over 190 album releases. In the United Kingdom he had 52 hit albums between 1967 and 1986, which made him second only to Elvis Presley.

His composition "Games That Lovers Play" is recorded in 100 different version throughout the whole world by artists such as Connie Francis or Ray Conniff. Andrew Lloyd Webber calls Hansi's Version of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" the best arrangement of his song "that was ever written."
