GUAPA is the fifth album from rock en Espanol outfit La Oreja de Van Gogh. Like the group's previous albums, GUAPA features breezy melodies, catchy pop hooks, and a mixture of pop, rock, and touches of electronica that owes much less to Latin roots music than it does to Europop. The sweet, lilting voice of lead singer Amaia Montero is still the group's most distinguishing feature, but the group's songcraft has been refined and strengthened, making GUAPA one of the band's most consistent and successful releases.
