Description
In 1948 Peggy Lee enjoyed a major US hit with Manana, which spent nine weeks at the chart summit with its distinctive
Latin feel.
It was to take more than a decade before Peggy returned to the style, this time partnering with arranger/conductor
Jack Marshall to produce an entire album influenced by the Latin style. The resulting album found favour on both
sides of the Atlantic, peaking at #11 in the US and #8 in the UK. Indeed, it was Peggy's chart debut on the UK
album charts.
