Description
While we seek the next artist to be crowned the King of Pop, there aren’t many musicians that need discovering to fill the gap. Usher doesn’t need an introduction because with more than 40 million records sold, he’s not worried. In fact he wants to assure us that even past from all the agony suffered the past couple years, he’s not struggling, and this new album proves it.
It’s been two years since we had ‘Here I Stand’, which has given Usher plenty of time for reflection for his sixth and latest album ‘Raymond V Raymond’. Dealing with love, heartbreak and divorce with Tameka Foster during this time has given the singer a bit of a musical experiment, with the electric will.i.am collaboration track ‘OMG’ on the same album as the celebrity’s power of ‘Lil Freak’ and ‘Papers’, his struggle going through divorce papers.
With Sean Garrett, Bangladesh, Danja and Zaytoven as contributors to Usher’s newest release, there’s a bit of everything on this edgier album.
