This year, MAFW celebrates 10 years of presenting the Spring / Summer collections of Australia and the Asia Pacific's best designers to some of the world's most significant buyers, media and key industry players. Located at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on the spectacular Sydney Harbour, the five-day event kicks off on May 2nd, showcasing on-site and off-site collection shows, parties, awards and industry get-togethers. On May 9th EQ will release volume one in a series of CDs that will showcase the music that is breaking out of the weeklong fashion celebration. A mix of electro, deep house, breaks, downbeat and quirky tunes, the compilation showcases the energy, themes and passion that match the character of the designs, designers and energy from the event.
Music from around the globe is showcased on the compilation alongside some of Australia's finest music producers, providing a unique mix of music. The diverse collection, skillfully engineered by Sameer aka pocket, is equally at home on the runway as it is in your lounge room or car.
