These short films were inspired by and made by Seamus Murphy to accompany all 12 songs on PJ Harvey's new album, Let England Shake. Murphy"s instinct was to use England itself - its landscape, its character and just the very idea of it - to look and deal with some of the sentiments expressed by Harvey in the album. Her intense delving into history, war and the human condition especially resonated in Murphy, and by using England itself to express these sentiments, Murphy thought this might also reveal a little more about PJ Harvey herself.
