Adam's Rib

Adam's Rib (1923) After nineteen years of marriage Marian Ramsay finds herself with a grown daughter and a lost romance. Her husband Michael being constantly distracted by business is unaware that the mysteries and romantic Mr. Jaromir calls on his wife daily. Michael discovers his rival too late, and when Mr. Jaromir is revealed to be a deposed King he loses yet more influence with his wife. While Michael schemes to get Jaromir away from his wife, their daughter Matilda moves to intervene and protect her parents marriage, imperiling her own honor and happiness in the process.
