Product Notes

"Two Weeks Notice," the debut album for rapper KP, tells the story of a gifted artist sick of the monotonous grind of dead-end hustles, seeking success through telling his story through the mic. The album is a collection of KP's ambitious nature, his drive to be successful, and his struggle on the road to success. "Two Weeks Notice" displays KP's strive to avoid obstacles and become to number #1, while at the same time presenting the dark and frustrating realities around him. Haling credibility from Atlanta's freestyle circuit, KP balances the swagger of a king in the making with the humility of someone who knows that the crown will not be handed to him. He exhibits the understanding that being an artist and putting out great music is an uphill battle where he may lose a fight or two. Equally important though, KP also shows that he may lose a few battles, but he will still win wars. 'Two Weeks Notice' is executively produced by Rob 'Esquire' Byars for Strongarm Champions Entertainment. With production predominantly overseen by Teabag Da Herbalist, "Two Weeks Notice" also features the productions of Wes Green, ONS, Embassy, Mercury Storm and Dionne Samuel-Gordon. The album's title track, 'Two Weeks Notice,' is a look into KP's past and present while giving a forewarning to all who attempt to test him. The lyrics, while using clever word play and at times comical rhymes, have poignant wisdom and insight from the rapper's own life and experiences. The first single off the album, "Get A Job" displays KP's humorous side while touching on his disdain for 'gold diggers.' As a whole, the album offers a bitter serving of what life can deal to a person, as heard in 'Kodak', as well as offering tracks like 'F*ck Wit Cha Boi', which give a sweet taste of the upside to a hard reality. Always diverse, the bright 23-year old MC also branches out and puts a pop sound in the mix on tracks like 'We Here', showing that he is not afraid to step away from his comfort zone and broaden his horizons, especially when it gives him a jump ahead of his competition. "Two Weeks Notice" contains an infectious collection of lyrics and beats that keep the listener wanting more after the end of the 22 track run. Tracks like the club anthem 'Just Enough' pounds out the bass while KP intertwines his lyrics around the high adrenaline flow of the beat. Rounding out the album, KP pays homage to the ATL with the club banger 'A-Game,' an equally lyrical and instrumental driven track, 'A-Game' gives you all the reason in the world why you should be throwing your A's up. "Two Weeks Notice' is KP's official proclamation to the music industry that his time is approaching. The album provides fair warning that he is unwilling and unable to stop for anyone in his way. The true appeal behind "Two Weeks Notice" is how it does not focus on the struggle, but focuses on the success to come. With an MC of this caliber, KP has given an unforgettable debut, guaranteeing that "Two Weeks Notice" will become a classic.
