The concept album So Romantic was named 2007 Album of the Year by the Nashville Independent Music organization. Inspired by all-consuming romance and the three-and-a-half-minute pop hits of the late seventies, the record celebrates the human heart's journey from readiness ("Something to Prove") to hopeful anticipation ("Mr. Right," "This Time,") to the fall ("So Romantic," "Sugar," "Sogni d'Oro") and all that follows ("You Move Me," "Mission to Please"). The self-produced project was recorded at Dan's home studio, with writing, vocals, guitars, piano, programming, and even album cover photography handled by the artist himself.
