From being stuck in a buffet line to the joy of opening up a jar of grape jam, Ben Tatar captures the essence of fun and quirky with this album entirely devoted to all things food. Featuring Chicago-based funk trio Spare Parts as the rhythm section, 'Food' draws upon Tatar's experience as both a jazz performer/composer and elementary school general music teacher to create a sonic experience that's playful for children, and enjoyable and addictive for adults and children of all ages.
